VAN HORN, Corliss T. "Van" Of Woburn formerly of Stoneham, Reading and Lynn November 19, 2008. Beloved husband of 66 years to Alma L. (Goodwin); devoted father of Bruce C. Van Horn and his wife Debbie of Woburn; Gretchen Baker and her husband Ron of Reading. Loving grandfather of Eric and Geoffrey Baker, Kimberly Van Horn, Melanie Powell and Brian Van Horn and great grandfather of Alexander, Matthew, Jason and Derek. Brother of the late Russell Van Horn. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 22 at 11am at the Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home, 25 Sanborn St. (corner of Woburn St.) READING. Relatives and friends invited to attend. Funeral home visiting hours Friday 4-8. Burial is private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Van's memory to the Alzheimer's Assoc., 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472. Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the USN during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Gretchen, i know we are long lost friends from waaaayyy back, however i still feel an attachment to those i knew in Reading, especially thru Old South. My mom just passed away a few weeks ago. We are/were fortunate to have our folks for so long...my mom was 92.
