CYNTHIA VICTOR Obituary

VICTOR, Cynthia Cynthia Victor, a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died peacefully in the early morning of October 26th. She was 94. Cynthia spent most of her life in Newton, Massachusetts, with the love of her life, Sumner Victor. Sumner and Cynthia were members of Temple Shalom and subscribers to the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Family and friends were the center of their lives. Cynthia was known for her roaring laughter, her holiday cooking and her love of classical music. She had a quick wit and deeply-held views about politics, fine arts and restaurant lighting. A graduate of Boston University, Cynthia had diverse hobbies, enjoying pottery, photography, creative writing and Bridge. In her later years, in Teaneck, New Jersey, where her Boston accent waned but did not disappear, she was an avid Rummikub player and doted on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband Sumner; and her brother Jerry Finn. Cynthia is survived by her children, Ken (Nathalie), Elyse (Joe) and Marcy (Scott); her grandchildren Ethan (Ronit), Gideon (Kathleen), Seth (Narissa), Sacha, Yannick, Mikaelle and Ben; and her great-grandchildren, Avi, Noah and Saul. Donations may be made in her name to ORT America.
