Daniel Bellamy Obituary

34, of West Bridgewater, Jan. 17, 2005. Husband of Susan L. (Matthew). Father of Cora, Matthew and Lilah; brother of Tim, Cheryl and Pamela Bellamy, all of Dorchester, Bruce Bellamy of GA, and the late John Bellamy. Son of the late Robert Bellamy, Dianne (Carey) Bellamy & John Perry. Grandson of Margaret Dole of Abington; uncle of Gregory, Lauren and Jennifer Bellamy. Also survived by several aunts and uncles. A Memorial Service will be held at Calvary Chapel, 175 Market St., Rockland, Thursday at 4 p.m. A reception will follow at IBEW Local 103 Union Hall, 256 Freeport St., Dorchester, at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Daniel Bellamy Fund, Attn: Marsha, North Easton Savings Bank, 295 Main St., North Easton, MA 02356. My heart goes out to the entire Bellamy family. Dan was truly one of a kind; he touched people in his own unique way. He was the kind of man who would step up and do what needed to be done. I consider myself lucky to have had his friendship. His loss is one that words can not even begin to capture. May he always rest in peace.

Timmy & the Belamy family, I am so sorry for your loss.

I’ve known Danny my whole life and was so upset when I heard what happened on the news.

My memories of Danny date back to being a kid as he helped me get my first job. I worked with him at the Greyhound bus stop in Boston and we had a blast!

We also hung out at the Dot house, went to Sacred Heart School together, and played on the football team. I remember that he was the only player allowed to bring a Snickers bar and a Diet Coke on the bench, and I think he even had Diet Coke wallpaper at his house as a kid. :)

I'll always remember Danny for his uplifting attitude and the positive way he carried himself; he was such a role model.

Danny always brought out the best in those who surrounded him and was always full with life.

He will surely be missed by all.

We were fortunate to have Danny, Sue, Cora, Matthew and Lilah visit for a few hours on Saturday. After being in the house for just a few minutes, Danny started looking around to see what electrical work needed to be done in our basement. Danny always thought about others and what he could do for them.

We watched the kids play, ordered pizza and just talked about everything. It was a great visit.

We will always cherish the times we spent with Danny, Sue and the family. We love you.

Susan, you know me better as Susan Gately of Gately Insurance agency. To say that my father and I were shocked and saddened to hear of this awful tragedy is an understatement. Dan was a fine man for so many reasons not the least of those reasons the love he so freely expressed when he spoke of you and your 3 children, and he spoke of you always. I will never forget the pride in his eyes and the love so clearly visable in his heart when he brought his babies into my office so I could see them. Dan would always show patience, always had a smile. He will truly be missed. I don't know how to say to you that I am sorry for somwthing like this.
