DANIEL CORRIGAN Obituary

CORRIGAN, Daniel Owen, Jr. "Dan" Of Newtonville, suddenly, on November 24, 2016 at Newton Wellesley Hospital. He was 55 years old. Born on April 3, 1961, he was the devoted son of the late Daniel and Marilyn Corrigan. Dan is survived by his wife, Teresa A. (O'Brien) of Newtonville, and sons James and Brendan; his sister and brother-in-law Dianne (Corrigan) Bastarache and Laurie Joseph Bastarache of Marlborough, brother and sister-in-law Brian and Tamara Corrigan of Mansfield, and 13 nieces and nephews. Dan attended school in Newton, and later Bentley University. Throughout his education, he enjoyed playing football, earning numerous accolades and awards. Dan worked as an Account Manager for FW Webb in Watertown. He was an active member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and generous supporter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Dan had an intense love of sports, and he was an avid history buff. He was a man with a gentle spirit who was fiercely loyal to his family and friends. He held tight to his convictions and his beliefs. Three words to sum up his life; family, friends, and faith. He is, and forever will be, missed by all. Visiting hours will be held in the Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home, 465 Centre St., NEWTON CORNER on Sunday, Nov. 26, 4-8 PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. High Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Our Lady Help of Christians Church, 573 Washington St., Newton on Monday, Nov. 27 at 12 Noon. Following interment in Newton Cemetery, a reception will be held at the Ancient Order of Hibernians on Watertown St., Watertown. Dearest Teresa,
Bob and I were so saddened by the news of your husband. I wish we could understand why someone so young had to say goodbye so soon.
Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
I heard you were at the beach this past summer but I didn't find out until you had left. If you come visit your mom this summer, I would love to see you and meet your children.

Gone to soon. I still can't comprehend. My heart, thoughts and prayers go out to all. I will always remember his laugh with a full smile. It would make you laugh even if you didn't hear what was said. You will be missed.
