I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Evans while working at his machine shop in Brockton,MA doing the foundation for his building. He was a kind and generous soul. May he rest in eternal peace. My condolences to the Evans family

My second-cousin Dan was more like an uncle in my mind; he was the age of my Dad and my uncles and he hung around with them. He was the "bad boy" of the Evans family, always smoking, getting into mild trouble, and always a lot of fun. I can remember him with speedboats at Whitehorse Beach, waterskiing. I enjoyed seeing him in more recent years in St Pete FL with Dad and Linda, and I had a nice visit with him at Dad's memorial service last winter. I cried when I heard---he was the last of the Cook and Evans boys, and it truly marks the end of an era. I have a few photos; will post. Very sorry that I can't come down from Maine for Sunday's service. My heart is with all of you. Valerie Cook
