I have known Dan for about 15 years but had been out of touch for the last 5. We used to talk alot and what I remember most about Dan was his selfless caring and his forever giving heart of gold. You will be missed my friend.
My sympathys and prayers are with his loved ones left behind.
Sincerely, Marshall

Danny was one of my room mates and a good friend lo these many years ago at UMass/Amherst, and we kept in touch for quite awhile after we both left school.
I hadn't seen him in a few years, but when I saw the news story about the accident, and read the name, I felt a little chill. I was hoping it wasn't the Dan I knew.
He was the most hard wired optimist I ever met, and the world is a little cloudier without him.
