To all of Dan's family. All of us here at the OCC are so very sad to hear that Dan Sr has passed. Dan has been coming here for years and he always loved our Fried Haddock Parm. He started bringing Sarah in for dinner when she was 2 years old, then came Christopher and Ava. They loved to come in with "Grampy" for clam chowder with "lots of crackers". We will miss Dan, he was a true gentleman.

The first time I went to boston to visit, I call Dan at work and he says,"Did you bring your skates?" We're playing hockey, Monday, Wednesday and Friday; ground hockey, Saturday and sunday. I get off work at 5pm. Meet me at "The Ducks"(the local bar).
That started a 30 year friendship, not only as a cousin, but a life long friend.
I'm so glad that Linda, my sister, was able to visit and give Dan a hand on his vacation trip in the recent past.

Dear Daniel, Laura Johnny Jude and kids, So very very sorry for your loss. It is so hard to put into words what an incredible, unigue, strong willed, brave, generous , intelligent and devoted man Dan Sr. was. I will be for ever grateful to Dan for helping me out 16 years ago when I needed some direction. I asked for help, he gave it. He was direct , to the point and never candy coated it. I took his help and his advice and I will never forget it. I also will never forget that If you wanted to hang with Dan Sr. you best be on time !!! Showing up 3 minutes late was 3 minutes too many. His love for his grandchildren was beyond any love i have ever seen. I was blessed to have shared a lot a laughs with this incredible human being. I will be for ever grateful that our paths crossed. God Bless you all as you grieve the loss of this one of a kind , much admired man.

To the family of Dan, I send my sincere condolences to you on the passing of your loved one. I worked with Dan at Polaroid up to the end and we kept in touch since then, I am so glad I got to see him before he passed, I will miss him joking with me about being an immigrant. Rest in Peace my good friend, you will always be in my thoughts and prayers.

I knew Dan many years ago and had the honor of playing ball with him on one of those three teams he played for. He had a great sense of humor and was one hell of a switch hitter...he loved when new players would see him come up to the bat and assume he was an "old fogey" because of the gray hair and then he would just smack that ball out of the field!!Next turn up he'd wait for them to get into position and he'd switch to hitting left-handed and smack the ball in the opposite direction! A terrific ball player and also a pretty good skier who loved Wildcat Mountain. He was very fortunate to accompany his son on a couple of "dream ski trips", Treasure those memories Daniel, as I will all of mine.

Dan was a great guy with a fabulous sense of humor who loved his children and his three grandchildren very much....he worked at Polaroid 30+ years, played in three softball leagues (at the same time!)in the early eighties and loved all sports! He loved to travel and was very fortunate to do lots of traveling and cruising over the past 20 years. Dan will be missed tremendously. Rest in Peace D
