Daniel GALBATO Obituary

GALBATO, Daniel Age 77, a resident of North Easton for the past 42 years, passed away peacefully at home, on December 27, after a long and courageous battle with IPF. He was the loving husband of Karen (Wing) Galbato.

Born in Boston and raised in Hyde Park, he was the son of the late Vincent and Eileen (Lahey) Galbato of Hyde Park. Daniel graduated from Hyde Park High School, after which he served in the Army Reserves. Dan was a proud member of I.B.E.W. Local 103 and worked as an electrician in and around the Boston area for 40 years. He belonged to the South Coastal Corvette Club for several years. Daniel was a man of many talents diving head first into any new project or hobby. His witty sense of humor gave us many laughs.

In addition to his wife; he is survived by three sons, Brian E. Galbato and his wife, Beth of Fairhaven, Daniel Galbato and his wife, Carrie of North Easton and Richard LaBlue and his husband, Peter Goodhue of Peabody; as "Grampie," he took great pleasure in spending quality time with his four beloved and cherished grandchildren, Mason, Gabriella, Hannah and Shaun Galbato; his two sisters, Lynda Galbato and her wife, Michelle Cloutier of Abington and Debra Costello and her husband, Daniel of Hyde Park; his two brothers, Vincent Galbato of Fairhaven and Brian S. Galbato of Florida; along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Eileen.

Daniel and Karen were blessed with many wonderful neighbors and friends who had been by their side as well as the numerous pets that were a part of their lives.

He will never be forgotten, but forever remembered and missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

To honor Daniel's memory, a celebration of his life will be held privately at a later date.
