NILAND, Daniel T. Age 76, of Jupiter, FL, formerly of Mission Hill, and West Roxbury, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, July 19, 2023. Danny was born in Boston, March 1, 1947, to the late William and Nora (Bradley) Niland. Beloved husband of 53 years to Florence (McLean). Father of Michelle Niland, Dyan Teehan; and two grandchildren of Roslindale. Loving brother of Francis Niland of Westwood, Elaine McIntyre and her late husband Richard of Roslindale, Kathleen Baron and her late husband Paul of Dedham; and his sister-in-law Maureen Niland of Marshfield. Predeceased by his brothers Carl Niland and his late wife Thelma of Somerville, Ralph Niland and his late wife Geraldine of Walpole, Michael Niland and his late wife Carol of Marshfield and John Niland of Marshfield. Survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Danny served honorably in the United States Army. He is a Vietnam wounded combat Purple Heart Veteran. He is a proud American, devoted to his country, and fellow service men and women. Danny is known for his love of history, baseball, especially coaching CYO softball and basketball, jeopardy trivia, sense of humor and enormous heart. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 28, 2023, at The Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help "Mission Church", 1545 Tremont Street, Boston, MA 02120.
