I am so sorry for this terrible loss. I knew David a long time ago and he and I were very close so I am heartbroken by this. But I want his family to have my full support and condolences during this difficult time because David was such a wonderful person and he will be remembered as such and for all of my experiences with him. My best wishes to all of his family and friends. Thank you.

I am deeply sorry for your loss.
David, or as we knew him, Cosine, was one of my best friends in high school. He was witty, comedic, and a great friend. I vividly remember during our junior year, that we made comedy movies for credit in French class. Between script-writing, visual comedy, and poorly-attempted French played off for laughs, Cosine was unforgettable. We got to catch up a few times after graduating in 2015, and I was again reminded of his wit and humor. He may have passed, but he will not be forgotten.
I have attached two screenshots from two of the comedy videos we made back in 2013-2014.

I worked with David during the summer of 2020 at Natick Community Organic Farm. While he and I didn´t work too closely together, I remember communal lunches around the picnic table, him playing chess, his dry wit, and his knowledge of the natural world. Really, really sad to hear of his passing. I´m certain he´ll be missed by so many.

Hi Julia,
My name is Sawyer and I went to school with David. I was the president of the Magic: the Gathering club on campus, and my wife and I played extensively with David, at least once a week if not more. His love for the game was evident and the care he showed for deckbuilding was incredible. My wife and I saw your message and so we are writing to you with contact info. I can be reached at [email protected]. I am happy to answer any questions you need, so please feel free to reach out.
Once again, I offer my most sincere condolences. David was a great person and friend, and will be sorely missed.

David spent this summer up here in Alaska, leading backpacking trips for HoWL. We will never forget his dry humor and endless stores of naturalist knowledge. Today we´ll gather to listen for birds and roast apples on a fire in his honor.

I´ve known David since early 2019, we met through a dnd campaign that is still running to this day. Just a few weeks ago I asked him how his time in Alaska was going. I am devastated, and my heart goes out to his family and friends. I have many good memories with him, he will be sorely missed.

David,
I am still in shock to hear of your passing. You would always bring the energy of a room up whenever you walked in. I know I've always said I hated your counter deck, but I'd give anything to have one last chaotic game of Magic with you. Rest in peace my friend; you are missed more than you know.
And to David's family,
My sincerest condolences for your loss. David was a great friend at NVU, and we're all devastated. He would always make fun of everyone, but would never cross any boundaries. And whenever we'd be playing a game, he'd make sure everyone was included. If we didn't know the game, he'd work with us to keep us up to speed. Then he'll destroy us no matter what game we were playing. David is missed by everyone.

A class trip on green river reservoir quickly became a top 10 moment when I was in the canoe with David and he belted out bohemian rhapsody word for word. Keeping your family in my thoughts

David was always so upbeat, funny, and genuine. He gave me many fantastic memories while at NVU and I always looked for him when I needed a smile. My thoughts are with his family and loved ones.

I worked with David at NCOF for a little over a year. While we weren´t close, I would call us friends. We shared a love of wildlife and I was always happy to hear about his recent trips fishing or camping or climbing. He always has a quick wit about him and enjoyed joking around. I find a lot of value in humor and as such have some great memories of him laughing and making puns. He was a great guy, a great coworker, and a great friend. I will miss him.

I had the great pleasure of getting to know David while on NOLS back in 2017. Great sense of humor and overall amazing guy. He loved to sing on the trail and always had the best outlook on what we were doing even if it was hiking through 2 feet of snow in September. My thoughts go out to you the Cosman family. My condolences.

To David´s family
I had the pleasure of knowing David while he was at NVU Johnson- he was a dedicated member of our men´s tennis team on his way to being our #1 in singles and doubles. David was not only a fantastic tennis pledger and teammate but also a kind, and caring person. I enjoyed our talks together and his dry and "punny" humor. My heart and prayers go out to you all. Thank you for sharing David with us at NVU Johnson.

David was a valued member of the team of naturalists at Inspiration Ridge Preserve where he took clients on guided nature tours. I loved his quiet good nature and keen observation skills as well as his enthusiasm for his work. He will be missed here at the Preserve. His work with youth aspiring to learn outdoor skills at HOWL is a terrible loss for the program. My deepest condolences to his family for their loss.

David's family:
I offer you all my sincerest condolences. I was a friend of David's through college, and had a number of outdoor classes together. We also did a lot of our nerdy activities together, and he will be sorely missed.
