Dear Aunt Edith,

I am so sorry for the loss of Uncle David.

I would have loved to be in attendance but at the time I was hospitalized with pneumonia. As you know David was a pillar of our family. Soft spoken butlistened to. My memories of him go back to WW II and I will treasure them for the rest of my life. It seems like yesterday that we were taking grandpa Danforth for his Sunday ride.I know there is a special place in heaven for a man that exhibited the goodness of his heart during his lifetime. My deepest sympathy and sorrow go out to you and your family. Love, Edward

Dear Edith, I was saddened to hear of David's death. I never got to know him as much as I would have liked but what I did get to know was a very kind and loving man who valued his family and friends. Please accept my deepest sympathy and know that both of you are in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

Edith, Ed and I wish to express our condolences for the loss of your dearly beloved David. We will always remember David and his smile at the CYC. It was always a joy to have him in our presence and we know by all the time he gave of himself to the yacht club, just how much he enjoyed boating.

Dear Edith~

Our deepest sympathy.

Your David was a very sweet man and we were lucky to have him touch our lives.

I'm so glad the two of you were able to share the experience of cruising together. I will remember his smile of enjoyment listening to the caribbean music around the pool.

We wish you and your family peace in the days ahead.
