David Hogarth Obituary

HOGARTH, The Rev. David Judson Died October 7, 2013. He is survived by his cherished grandchildren, Pramila and Santosh, his daughter, Jessica Murray, and son-law-law, Alex Murray all of Quincy, his loving sister, Phyllis Klinges, his brother-in- law, Jack Klinges, his niece, Sarah of Quakertown, PA, his dear brother, William Hogarth, sister-in-law, Lucy Hogarth of Attleboro, MA, nephew and godson, Tom, and nieces, Jill and Heidi, many great nieces and nephews, as well cherished friends and students. David was born in Cheshire, CT, June 11, 1938, graduated from Needham High School in 1956, Brown University in 1960, and Nashotah House Theological Seminary in 1964. A parishioner at All Saints Ashmont in Dorchester, his interests included theology, his grandchildren, travel to his second home in Myanmar, and time with dear friends. After retiring from MIT, David was adjunct faculty at Holy Cross Theological College in Rangoon, Myanmar, where he taught Ascetic and Pastoral Theology. He also served as Deacon at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in Rangoon, and was instrumental in the development of many programs there, including a Nursery School. Funeral Saturday, October 12, 2013, 10:30 AM, at the Parish of All Saints, Ashmont. David's ashes are being interred in Holy Trinity Cathedral, Rangoon, Myanmar. He was well loved and will be terribly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice or to the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, Rangoon, Myanmar.
