LILLY, David Of Chestnut Hill. Entered into rest September 21, 2009 at age 86. Beloved husband of Norma (Ravech) Lilly. Devoted father of Sandra Kaplan & her husband Stephen, Dr. Leonard Lilly & his wife Dr. Carolyn Langer, and Patti Bennett & her husband Hal. Loving brother of the late Michael Lilly and Mary Finkelstein. Cherished grandfather of eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter. A brave veteran of WWII, who earned a battlefield commission to Lieutenant, the Bronze Star and 5 Campaign Stars, Mr. Lilly was a well known real-estate developer and partner of Lilly Construction Company. Services at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 1668 Beacon Street, BROOKLINE on Thursday, September 24 at 10 AM. Memorial observance at his late residence on Thursday following interment until 8:00 and on Friday, 1-4, Saturday 7-9, and Sunday 1-4. I was just thinking of David and am saddened to learn of his passing. I enjoyed hearing stories about his company and the building of First Lutheran Church (where I attend)--he always lit up when he told them. I'm privileged to have met him. You are in our thoughts & prayers.
