I just went to the Dana-Farber website to make a donation to honor David, and found he had died last fall. I hadn't realized he had died. He was such a great help for my father and mother, Charles and Selma Gutman, when they were diagnosed with cancer at Dana-Farber. I contacted him recently when I saw in the MIT alumni magazine his Bridge program with MIT. I am so sorry to hear of his passing.

Dear Emily, I don't know if you remember, but we met back in Tatte Cafe back in August this past year. We had such a great conversation back then...I was meaning to actually email Dr. Livingston today but was very sorry to see that he passed. Even though we all met for a short period, I felt like I connected with you guys both. He will be missed. I wish you all the best.

My deepest condolences to David´s family. It was an honor to know David (we met when I was a graduate student in 1981) and I, like so many other young scientists, were influenced by his intellect and personality. He will be greatly missed.

My condolences to the family! David was my mentor for many years and has inspired me in so many ways. His way of thinking about science was remarkable and is influencing my work to this date. You will be dearly missed, David!

So sorry to hear of the passing of Dr. Livingston. My condolences goes out to all the family. I met Dr.and Mrs. Livingston a few years ago at head pro Bucky O´Briens funeral luncheon at the Greenfield Country Club. My daughter and I engaged in a wonderful conversation with them. They had both been to Ireland and I am from there. So you can imagine all the stories we had to tell each other. Dr. Livingston was truly a blessing to humanity. May he Rest In Peace in heaven. God bless Mrs. Livingston and all the family as they go forward.
