DAVID ANDREW MISCHLER

Mischler, David Andrew Of Braintree - 74 years of age, passed away at his home in Braintree on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 after a brief illness. Dave was born in Weymouth and was a lifelong Braintree resident. He was a 1958 graduate of Braintree High School. After Dave graduated, he worked for the Hunt Potato Chip Company in Braintree where he was a sales manager. He had attended Bentley College in Boston. He married his wife Elouise M. Farrell in 1963. After working for Hunt Potato Chip Company, Dave opened his own contracting business "D.A.M. Odd Jobs". He continued with his own business up until two months prior to his death. Dave considered his crowning achievement his last two projects, the complete remodeling of his own home and his childhood home which was finished this year. He and his wife were considered "World Travelers" visiting countries throughout Europe and Asia as well as the United States. They enjoyed visiting Florida every year. Dave was an avid golfer and a great Boston sports fan. Dave was the beloved husband of 52 years of Elouise M. (Farrell) Mischler. He was the loving and devoted father of David C. Mischler married to Helen of Hanover, Robert M. Mischler married to Sherie of Canton, and Maryellen Mischler of Braintree. He was the adored grandfather of 6 grandchildren; Jacob C., Hannah K., Matthew D., Emily C., Eric A., and Timothy D. Mischler. He was the brother of Laura J. Oteri married to Tony of Middleboro, and the uncle of Christina and Andrew A. Oteri. He was the brother of the late Carole J. Mischler and Conrad G. Mischler. David was the son of the late Andrew F. and Orpha Maxine (Snyder) Mischler. Visiting hours will be held at the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington Street, BRAINTREE on Friday June 19th from 4-8pm. There will be a gathering at the funeral home on Saturday, June 20th at 9:30am to be followed by a Funeral Mass in the Church of St. Thomas More, corner of Elm St. and Hawthorn Road at 10:30am.
