David, it took me a long time to sign your guest book. I was hoping this was all a bad dream, that your boisterous laugh and joy you brought to my life couldn't be at an end. Although I said goodbye at your funeral, I will never ever say goodbye in my heart. You helped both myself and my son in ways I wish I had told you while you were with us. I hope you know how much I love you. Forever Farrah, Forever Fabulous, we can never be to blonde! I love you David. I will always tell Christian about his "uncle" David who brought us on dinner dates, swanboat rides, shopping of course! Your family is beautiful, I loved meeting all of the people you would tell us about at Diegos. I can tell how much they love you and it is obvious you will be missed. Until we meet again my love!

My thanks to Dave's old friends from the neighborhood and friends from his professional life. It was so comforting to hear your good times with Dave. Everyone was family.
He held everyone close to his heart. I think about him every day and miss him. All the best. Nancy Pawlowski

My Dearest David,
I just learned about your passing today and I am unable to stop crying. You have been a friend, a support and a confidante for over ten years. You have made me laugh when I didn't think I could and you have always told me I was beautiful even when I didn't think I was. I hope you knew how much your friendship meant to me. I will miss you darling so much!!
My deepest and heartfelt sympathies go out to his family. I can only imagine your lost. He loved you all so very much, especially his nieces and nephews about whom he glowed...
Luv ya Farrah

I'm so sad to learn of David's passing today. I first met David 24 years ago and he turned my flat, lifeless hair into a work of art (he was also the first person I trusted to cut it short!). He had the magic touch with creating the perfect cut and with making my day brighter.
My heart goes out to all of his family and friends - he seemed to have so much love in his life. I love all the pictures posted here - he had such an amazing smile!

David was a talented, consummate professional, an artist, and a true and dear friend. I first met David when I moved to Boston 10 years ago and have been going to him ever since. It was clear how deeply he loved his family and treasured his friends. There was not an event, big or small, that I didn't share with him. He had tremendous capacity for love and joy. I send my heartfelt condolence to his family.

I found out today about David's passing. Just three weeks ago, we talked like magpies about our "milestone" birthdays. As always, David and I laughed til we cried. David was a wizard, a pro at his craft, a therapist, a sprite. He loved his family and friends with amazing energy. It was a blessing to know him.

My deepest sympathies go to David's loved ones. This is a terrible and seemingly senseless shock. I had the privilege of working with David and being his friend for many years way back in the day at Alessandro's in Braintree. He first taught me to embrace what it is that makes us each unique. His infectious laugh will be cherished in my memories forever.

I first met David approximately 6 years ago at Diego Salon in Boston. Not only was I impressed by David's hair styling talents, but also his upbeat attitude and fun loving spirit! I was so pleased with David and the Diego team, that it didn't take long before my daughters and other family members and friends started frequenting Diego as well. David had a special gift with people, a great laugh and smile, and many other talents - all of which we will sadly miss. My sincere condolences to the Orlando family, as well as his Diego family.

David, my entire family is in such shock to hear about your loss. You're smile and personality was so contageous. You will be greatly missed and my prayers go out to you and your family.

My daughter introduced me to David about 6 years ago. I loved what he did with my hair, of course, but I cherished the time spent with him. He had a marvelous ability to make one feel like the most important person in his life in that moment. His focus was on others, his interests were wide and his goodness was contagious. He was an extraordinary person. His loss leaves a hole in so many hearts.

I was deeply saddened to hear of David's passing. I, and many of the oncology nurses at MGH, will miss him greatly. We are all in shock. He was an amazing hairdresser, but more importantly he was an incredibly genuine and sincere person. The world was a better place because of him. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

David,
So sad about your passing. You surely are an ANGEL now. My family is better for having you a part of it. Visits to Adams St. will never be the same and my hair will never have the "ENERGY" it had, as when you did it.
Love You,

I haven't stopped crying since I heard the news. 30 years of David, I was very lucky. During every miserable winter I spent in Boston, I always thought of moving away, but then I always thought OH NO I can't leave David! I can't believe your not here. My heart is shattered; your energy, your smile, your laugh is irreplaceable.

David – I still feel like I am in a bad nightmare when I think of you gone, it does not seem real, I feel like I will still be seeing you in two weeks, it has been clock work for the last 17 years that I see you every 3 to 4 weeks (except when you went out west for a bit (those were my worst hair days while you were gone but you came right back). You ALWAYS had that wonderful smile and no matter how bad my day was going, I felt like a fairy princess once I slipped into your chair. I am grateful for the friendship we developed and will always be touched by your loving generosity in giving of your time. I have wonderful memories outside of your chair, like the time you came to the Ritz to do my hair as well as Suzanne’s and Kim, then stayed in my room and enjoyed the wine and appetizers while we went down to the wedding. LOL…. Our Holiday party that we had at the Liberty, where everyone fell in love with you on the dance floor all evening. You truly knew how to LIGHT up a room, and heaven is lucky to have you, give my love to Helen and Cindy who are up there as well. Yes indeed god takes all of the good ones way to SOON!!!! Love and Miss you,

David started cutting my hair when i was 20 years old and working my way through college by working as a receptionist at Sal's. It was a huge, busy salon full of established hair dresser's, most of which had no time or patience for a young girl trying to find her way in the hectic environment...but David was the one brightr light there. HE always had a smile, he was always warm and loving. His laugh was infectious and he started my love affair with fabulous hair. Even after i moved away from Boston I always saw David when i came home...and there were even times when my husband would later fly me home specifically to see David after being appaulled by the sub par job some other hairdresser had done....imagine that...a husband actually insisting his wife fly across the country to see a specific hairdresser!!! That's how good David was. I was shocked and saddened, as we all were, to hear of David's passing. My immediate thoughts were of his family and of his young nephew, who was the light of his life. I know they will miss his presence forever. We all love and miss you Farrah.
