DEBRA KNEE Obituary

KNEE, Dr. Debra G. "Debbie" Age 55, of Winchester. Entered Eternal Rest after along battle with cancer on January 3, 2019. Born in the Bronx, NY, she attended Boston University and obtained her medical degree from Albany Medical College. Specializing in OB-GYN, she joined Winchester OB-GYN and delivered more than 3,000 babies. Debbie was a most strong, loving, loyal, and supportive person. Nothing made her happier than to celebrate activities and holidays with family and friends. She loved throwing an annual "town day" party and providing a feast for all her guests. Debbie was involved in many activities and enjoyed her role as a board member of her temple. An avid reader, she met monthly with her book club. Debbie's greatest joy was spending time with her children. She was the beloved mother of Hunter, Sarah, and Emily Lang; devoted daughter of Byron and Carol (Rosenberg) Knee; and cherished sister of Melissa Knee. She is also survived by Aunt Sherry & Uncle Arnie Everitt; cousins Bruce & Kaew Everitt, and Irwin & Carolyn and Alec Everitt; and her sisters of heart, Jill Honig, Sherri Lilienfeld, Sharon Namaroff, and Dr. Margaret Russo. Services at Temple Shir Tikvah, 34 Vine St., Winchester on Sunday, January 6, at 10:00 AM. Interment in Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester. Memorial week will be observed at her late residence. I knew Debbie as a resident- she was excellent and obviously later an excellent doctor. Great pity that her life was cut so short.

What a perfect picture of Debbie; it represents her joy for life and infectious smile. I remember her laugh and love of people as I am sure all AMC'91 classmates do.

So sad to learn about Dr. Knee's passing. She was my doctor for 15 years, delivering my second child. She was so compassionate and truly friendly! I miss her care and dare I say, her friendship.

We lost touch over the years, but Debbie was my classmate and vacation buddy during our years at Albany Med. I can still picture her beautiful smile and hear her laugh. She was loved by all, and I am grateful to have been her friend.

We are so very saddened to hear of Dr. Knee's passing. She was a wonderful doctor, always professional yet very personable and caring. She spoke so fondly of her children when we would share our child-rearing stories. Our hearts go out to her children, her family and the staff at Winchester OB/Gyn. She will be truly missed by so many.

I am truly saddened to hear of Dr. Knees passing. I wanted to write a message as I was so honored that she took me on as a patient when my mother who was her patient asked her to even when she was full. She touched my heart when she attended my Mothers wake five years ago after she lost her battle with cancer. She was a caring, respectful and wonderful person and doctor. My condolences to her family as this time is difficult. I hope the memories of the great times will provide comfort and joy in the future and will live on.

I am so very shocked and saddened to learn of the passing of Dr. Knee. I did not know or have any indication that she was in a battle with cancer. She was always so pleasant, professional, personable and caring. I have been a patient for sixteen plus years and she provided such marvelous care.

May she rest in peace. Unfortunately, I never received the letter from her office and just called to confirm. I am so shocked and needed to offer my sincere condolences to her family, coworkers and all of her colleagues. This is just so very sad. She spoke of her own children with such love. God Bless you. Please know your Mom was such a kind and loving person. With deepest sympathy...

I was shocked to hearing of the passing of Dr. Knee. She gave no indication that she was battling cancer. She was always so professional and caring. I have been her patient for about the last fifteen years. She took very good care of me! We enjoyed chats about our children. Every year I shared an update about events in my four kids lives. Mother to mother conversations were special.

May she rest in peace. She and her family have been in my prayers since I received the letter from her office notifying of her passing. I offer my sincere condolences to her family and to her professional colleagues. This is a very sad time for all.

I am so deeply saddened to have heard of Dr. Knee's passing this week. She has been one of the only doctors I have ever fully trusted and felt listened to every detail and went above and beyond to make me feel cared for. She listened to so many of my own struggles, including a cancer scare she helped me through, never ONCE did I know or suspect what she had been battling. She always entered a room with a huge smile, spoke kindly, explained everything, followed up, and made me feel like I was in the very best hands. I am so deeply sorry for the family touched by her tragic passing! Please know how valued and appreciated she was, and that she (and you) will continue to be in my thoughts. My heart breaks for you.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Dr. Knee's passing. I was a patient of hers for over 15 years. Dr. Knee was always cheerful, empathetic, and kind. She never gave any indication that she was battling a terrible disease. I wish that I gave her a hug (instead of the standard handshake) at my last yearly appointment. I will always remember Dr. Knee with fondness and appreciation. My heart goes out to her loved ones.

I have been a patient of Dr. Knee for over 20 yrs. I truly adored her as well as looked up to her. We had our children around the same time so we always shared stories of how they were doing. I had no idea she was battling cancer so her passing is a tremendous surprise and brings me much sadness. She was such a wonderful and caring person. It may sound silly to say as I was only a patient of hers but I loved her, she made going to the gynecologist not so horrible because she made you feel at ease. My heart goes out to all her family.
I'll miss you Dr. Knee, so much!!

It is with shock and sadness that I learned of Dr Knee's passing. She was truly a remarkable person who I looked forward to seeing at my appointments. She was compassionate and caring and yes her smile would light up the room. When I had surgery she told me everything would be alright and I knew she would make that happen. Her confidence quieted my fears and I will be forever grateful for that. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to her parents and children. May you find comfort in knowing just how loved she was by all. Rest in peace until we all meet again.

I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Dr. Knee's passing. My condolences to her entire family and Winchester OB/GYN Associates.
I was a patient of hers for many years. She was such a wonderful, kind and compassionate person. She was always upbeat; I would never had thought she was battling a disease.
She took such good care of me when I needed surgery and called me often to check on me; for that I am forever grateful. I would also run into her at the local Deli buying meatballs for her son because he loved them. I knew she was a great mom as well. She will be missed by all who was fortunate to know her. Heaven has gained an angel. God Bless you all.

My heartfelt sympathies and condolences to Dr. Knee's family. I was a patient of hers for the past 20 years, I moved to MA in the middle of my first pregnancy and I could not have found a better doctor. She always walked into the exam room with that beautiful smile of hers, she was compassionate, warm, had a great sense of humour and always listened, never rushed you. Our children were in the same grades and we always talked about what was going in our lives as moms and the crazy lives of our children. She will truly be missed by everyone's life she touched. God bless your family and may the love she had for you and the beautiful memories you shared bring you through this difficult time.

My deepest love, thoughts and prayers for Debbies family. I have for the past 15 years spent many holidays, beloved town days and family time with Debbie and her wonderful family. Debbie was one of the most kind hearted souls, loved celebrating holidays and deeply and fully forever loved her three amazing children. She was one of the most wonderful mothers, caring sisters and her love for her parents went beyond most would know. She and her sister, mother and father and children over these 15 years have become a surrogate family to me and my son. With her kind heart she welcomed us to every holiday, celebration and her wonderful town day parties. May she Rest In Peace, and I know she will be thought about everyday by all of her family and everyone that had the pleasure of knowing her kind and beautiful heart. My love and sympathies go out to all of her family.
