Out of curiosity, just now googled Deighton's and Alice's names - to discover to my chagrin that they both passed away in recent years. Deighton was always patient, encouraging and inspirational to work with at the Ecole Secondaire Pedagogique in Goma, DRC, where I taught in the 1970s during six of his years there as headmaster.

Sorry to hear of the loss of a very great human being. Deighton was such an honorable inspiration to many... May his memory be eternal.
