DENIS LEFEVRE Obituary

LeFEVRE, Denis C. Of Quincy, formerly of CT, died on December 29, 2013 with his family by his side. He was seventy-one years old. Denis was born and raised in Muskegon, Michigan. He obtained a B.S. from the University of Detroit. He served as a Lieutenant in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. He earned an M.B.A. from Indiana University. Denis worked for over 25 years at Howmet, a producer of castings for the aerospace industry, where he attained the position of Vice President and General Manager. Denis was one of the first adopters of a systems management process known as the Theory of Constraints. He tirelessly supported the entrepreneurial businesses of his wife and son. Denis collected Abraham Lincoln memorabilia. He enjoyed following current events and debating political issues. He was an enthusiastic golfer and a member of a bowling league. Denis is survived by wife Hyang Suk of CT. He is survived by son Edouard LeFevre and his wife Renee of Boston, son Jacques LeFevre and his wife An of Cohasset, and daughter Renee LeFevre and her husband Tim Altman of NY. He is survived by siblings Paul LeFevre of PA, Rochelle Richard of MI, Jenine Bourdon of MI, Joffre LeFevre of VT, Liane Martino of MI, and Jacques LeFevre of IN. He is survived by grandchildren Luc, Madeleine, and Simon LeFevre. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Anns Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston. I worked for Denis at Howmet for several years from 1979 - 1984. He was my first mentor and I'll always remember what great qualities he displayed as both a manager and a person. He was always positive and supportive of my career and I've thought about him many times since he left Howmet.

My condolences to his family.

I worked with him at Howmet for several years and always considered him a gentleman, and a man of his word. He made the world a better place.
