Don was a great doctor and a great teacher. He was the first person with whom I worked when I started my residency at Mass Eye and Ear. He was a great guy and will be greatly missed.

Jean, Cheryl, Donald & family,
I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your dad.
I remember being at your house on Summer street with Jean & he would come home from work. He was so tall & he left that impression on me my whole life.
My sympathy & prayers are with all of you.

Sincerely,
Sheila Twomey Lynch

I am one of Cheryl’s Vienna VA neighbors and I met Donald and Yvonne during their frequent visits to Cheryl’s home. My wife (Joan) and I have fond memories of them individually and as a couple. Our family was sad when Yvonne left us and during Donald’s last visit we noted how very much Donald missed his life-long partner.

It is said that one can not chose one’s parents but Cheryl, Donald, and Jean were indeed fortunate to have Donald and Yvonne as their loving parents. I envy Cheryl, Donald and Jean for the beautiful memories that they have of their parents. By having those tender and loving thoughts about their parents, they have made their parents immortal. I am confident and have no doubt that Cheryl, Donald, and Jean will cope with the loss of their parents because they will be sustained by the power of Yvonne and Donald’s exemplary life and spirit.
