DORIS L. HANLON

1944 - 2017

HANLON, Doris L. (Mayhew) 73, of Bellingham, died suddenly Thursday, October 12, 2017, while vacationing in Rome, Italy. She was the beloved wife of John F. Hanlon, with whom she shared 52 years of marriage.

Born April 13, 1944 in Boston, a daughter of the late Harold H. and Helen F. (Doherty) Mayhew, she was a resident of Bellingham since 1977.

Doris was raised and educated in South Boston and worked as an office manager in Warham. She enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling. Doris was a kind soul who would lend a helping hand to anyone who needed one.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her children, Marcus E. Hanlon and his wife Christine of Richmond, Virginia, Douglas R. Hanlon and Eileen M. Read and her husband Clinton of Franklin. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren. She was the sister of the late John Mayhew.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Mass Saturday, Nov. 18th at 10AM in St. Mary's Church, 1 Church Square, Franklin. Her interment will be held privately.

Calling hours are Friday, Nov. 17th from 6-8PM at the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage St., FRANKLIN.
