Edward AVEDISIAN Obituary

AVEDISIAN, Edward Of Lexington, passed away surrounded by his family on December 7, 2022. Edward was a professional clarinetist for over 35 years for the Boston Pops and 43 years for the Boston Ballet. Throughout his life, he was fortunate enough to eventually become a philanthropist focusing on education, music, and medicine. Additionally, he was the recipient of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor, and two honorary doctorates, from the University of Rhode Island and Boston University. Edward is survived by his beloved wife, Pamela Wood Avedisian; his sister, Zvart Onanian; his brother, Paul (Esta) Avedisian, as well as many other loving family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held for him next spring. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Avedisian School Endowment Fund, in care of the Armenian Missionary Association of America, AMAA, 31 W.
