This doesn't seem real. My Dad was truly my best friend. He always told it like it was even if he knew you didn't want to hear it. He was an amazing person, father, grandfather and friend. I can't believe I'll never get another 'squeezy hug' or watch him give them to my kids again. Daddy, thank you for teaching me to stand up for what's right and to be strong like you. You always inspired me and pushed me to do better. I'll always treasure our memories and be grateful for our time together. The way you were with my kids, your monkeys, was amazing. They adore you. I'll never understand this but I find peace in knowing you're out of pain Daddy. I know you're in God's arms watching over us all. You're my diamond in the sky. Known Ed while working on St. Pete Beach for a couple years and he always kept up a nice conversation and told me to keep doing what I loved most. We had a blast. Him and his fiance even stopped by my home after I graduated from St. Petersburg College in the spring of 2012, that meant a lot to me. Miss him a lot. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family and friends.

I am so sorry for your loss. Growing up, I spent more time at your house than my own and have so many wonderful memories of Ed. The five of you (and his grandsons) were truly the light of his life. I have no doubt that even at the end he held on until he could see each of you one last time. No matter how much time passed or how far away you were, you all came first in his life. Heaven gained the best angel. He was such an amazing father. I wish he was still here, but I know God has a plan for him and he is no longer in pain. He taught me so many things that I will hold onto for the rest of my life. Even though we had so many more memories to be made, our memories that we had will be forever cherished in my heart. He touched so many peoples lives. Life will never be the same without him here, but he will always be with us in our hearts. I will always love you, and miss you constantly, dad. To Laureen and the entire Inserra family, I am so sorry for your loss. I never had the pleasure of meeting Eddy, but just from the way Laureen spoke of him he sounded like a great guy who was deeply loved. Although he has gone on his journey, his spirit lives on and will burn forever like the light of this candle.
