To Jake and Eddie's Children and Grandchildren:

I was deeply saddened to hear of Eddie's death but know he must be happy to be reunited with his beloved wife, Theresa.

Eddie was probably the most classy guy I knew growing up in Charlestown and remained that way as a respected superior officer in the Boston Police Department.

When I hear of fine men like Eddie passing away, it reminds me of the words of St. John (15:16) who telling us of the words of Jesus, who said,
"Remember man, it was not you who picked Me but I who picked you."

What a choice pick Jesus had in Eddie. My thoughts and prayers are with his family as they must face the difficult task which now confronts them. I pray, too, that Eddie will Rest in Peace.

With love and many happy memories,

October 19, 2011

Mary and I join you in your sadness. Eddie was a fine man and a good friend for many many years.

My thoughts and prayers go out to you all. I have such fond memories of all our family cookouts in Weymouth and the great times watching the parade every year in Charlestown.
