I´ve been thinking about Professor Ed Kelly off and on over the past 30 years and most recently over the last few months continuously. I was a student at Quincy College and Ed Kelly was an English Professor of mine. Over and over he told me I was meant to be a writer, not an accountant as was my major. He was the greatest teacher I ever had in my life; my entire life. I recently have given thought and put pen to paper with ideas and such. I´ve always said, I will dedicate my first published work to him. I was hoping to surprise him one day. He was one of God´s soldiers and treasures. He was a remarkable person. A treasure to me. God bless you professor Kelly, Ed. You, your words, fluttered elegantly in my world and now you soar above. With honest conviction I may sing, "I knew a great man of verse and rarity." I speak of you often with such happiness having known you. God bless you and your family.

Dear Uncle Eggie was so many things, it is impossible to put into words. A better family member, friend, teacher, you could not have wished for. I feel so lucky to have known and loved him, and will remember and miss his smile and our conversations always.

Ed always had a smile whenever he was greeting someone. Ed was truly my Brother in Arms which both of us were in the Army. I'll Miss him not being around talking of books we have read and the laughs all of the family had when they were together with him. There's an old saying Old Soldiers Never Die they just fade away and Ed I still have somethings to do but I'll meet you at the first rally point I can.

"Uncle Ed" was a true Legend in my life. The perfect gentleman, who was always there when you needed him. His dry sense of humor would always brighten up your day. My wife Karen had Ed as a teacher before we met at Quincy College. She has often told me that Ed was hands down the most influential teacher she ever had.
Ed was certainly one of the biggest role models in my life growing up, and will always be. We all have so many wonderful memories of you. Those memories will keep your spirit alive with us forever. Rest in peace Ed. Until we meet again. Elaine , Jen, Dave, and Renee, our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Love Always, Brian, Karen, Colin , and Kelsey Adams.
