Dear Paul, Gail, Michael, Eddie & Debbie,
My wife Debbie & I were saddened to hear of Eddie’s passing. I was introduced to Eddie many years ago, through a mutual friend, Frank Marinelli. I had the pleasure and unique experience to work for Eddie & his brother-in-law, Steve, at his equipment rental company, Eastern States Equipment. I found Eddie to be a trustworthy and hard working professional. He had a sense of humor that was unmatched by many. He was a quick thinker and a generous person to be with. But besides being a hard worker, he found quality time to spend with his family and I had the pleasure of going out boating with Eddie, his family and some key employees. This was a clear example of his generosity. May God bring peace to all of you and may you treasure the happy memories that we all have of Eddie. Sincerely, Bob “Murph” & Debbie

Eddie was the best boss I´ve ever had. He was larger than life and was always there for those who needed him. I´ll never forget all he taught me and I feel lucky to have known him. All my love to the Sciaba family.

On behalf of Veterans and Friends of Edward O. Gourdin African American Veterans Memorial Park. I extend deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Eddie Sciaba. Several of us met him at a walk thru at the park shortly before the park's August 1, 2023, dedication. Eddie was generous with his time and shared stories of his family's early connections to Shawmut Ave. and his own Roxbury friendships. We are proud to be associated with one of his last public beautification projects.

I am so very sorry to hear about Eddie´s passing. My husband and I have known Eddie for decades. When my husband was sick, Eddie was one of the very dear JP crew who would come to visit with him. And since my husband´s death, Eddie and the JP crew have stayed in touch with me which I´m so very grateful for. Eddie was larger than life and he will be dearly missed by me and all those who loved him. RIP Eddie.
