Liz was my roommate at Denison our sophomore year. We exchanged Christmas cards for a few years after college, and she had shared pictures of her beautiful children. We lost touch over the years. David, and Mr. and Mrs. Hersey, I'm so very sorry for your loss. Liz was a very special person. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I worked with Liz at Whole Foods Market. No matter what, she was always happy and spread her happiness through her infectious smile and laughter. She was beautiful, funny, and just a wonderful person to be around. My sympathies to the Hatch family and may they find solace in the beautiful light that was and will always be, Liz.

Hi, My name is Kelly and my aunt has been battling Pancreatic Cancer for two years now and I'm reaching out to familes and friends that also have been affected by this awful disease. Last October our family and friends walked in the PANCAN walk down in Cape Cod. This year we are having our own walk to raise money for the MGH Research Center. The walk is being held in Medford, MA. on Sept. 29th. If anyone is interested in helping us fight this disease please contact me.

I had the pleasure in recent years (through my husband John's friendship with Dave) to meet and spend time with Dave, Liz, and their families. What a ball! I always enjoyed the conversations with Liz and crew - lots of laughter and genuine caring expressed. John and I still laugh about one night when we were over at the Hatch's and throughout the night one person or another would point out how much they liked my shoes!! (unbeknownst to each other!)...Every time I put on those shoes I think of that night and smile.
We were lucky enough to have Liz and Dave at our wedding this past September. Liz looked gorgeous (ok, Dave, you looked nice too...)
Anyway, I just wanted to say that the funeral yesterday was a beautiful tribute to Liz. I am sure she was looking down and witnessing the immeasurable love that was expressed.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all now and always. You are a strong family. We love you!

Dear Hatch and Hersey families: Liz was one of my favorite aerobics instructors. I still think of her as one of the great motivators in my life. Ben and Emily were young then and were always with her at the gym She was one huge big smile. So sorry to hear aboout your terrible loss> God bless all.

My heartfelt sympathy to Dave, Ben and Emily and all your family. I knew Liz from Girl Scouts and saw her frequently at Whole Foods. She always brightened the day when she was there. To all of Liz's family: I am deeply sad to hear about Liz. Liz will always be a part of my Dover-Sherborn memories. She was a beautiful, fun loving, kind person. We had fun skiing together in Italy and during the "Slush Bowl" family ski vacations in New Hampshire.
Although we hadn't kept in touch over the years, I know she will be missed by her family and friends. My heartfelt thoughts go out to all of you.

I feel truly blessed that I had such a wonderful sister. She was always there to help me through rough times; and was a real inspiration and role model for me. I will miss Lizzer more than words can explain. She was my Best Friend of 9 years. She was always giving of herself to everyone she knew. David,Sue and I often talk about you and Liz,about how much fun we had back in the Stride Rite Days. And, how you both adopted Jersey so willingly, that helped us so much. And our visit to Maine - so much fun. When Sue sent this news to me today, the sadness of this really resonated with me. Liz's smile and laugh is the best and that is a great memory too.
