Memories and Condolences
for ELLIOT STONE

I worked for Mr. Stone as a young department manager. I found him easy to talk to and always looked forward to his visits to the stores. My best memory of him is when I was lucky enough to travel on the same plane with him to New York. All he talked about was his daughters. He was such a warm and sensitive man. All these years later I often think about him.

I greatly admired Elliot for his ethical standards,his merchandising expertise and leadership.
He took a gamble on a young executive at Maas Brothers and I am most grateful for his counsel and support.

I was privileged to have worked under Elliot's leadership at Jordan Marsh. He inspired me in all aspects of professional and personal life. He was a gem among the retail many and I will always cherish the fond memories of what he created with the Jordan Marsh family. My condolences to all his family.

I always enjoyed Elliot's company. We communicated well. He was extremely sharp, both in dress and intellect.
I most enjoyed some of our "heated" discussions where we sometimes disagreed on a topic...but this is what makes life valuable. I will miss him.
