CAPONE, Ernani "Ernie" Of Winchester and formerly of Boston's North End, passed away on November 7, 2025. Born in Torre Le Nocelle, Avellino, Italy. Ernani immigrated to the United States, specifically the North End in Boston with courage, determination, desire, and the drive to build a better life for those he loved. He brought with him the values of hard work, humility, and deep family devotion-all of what defined who he was as a person. Ernani married the love of his life, Joanne and in their 56 years of marriage, raised five children in Winchester who were the center of his world. That world and love expanded with the addition of his grandchildren. His love for his family guided everything he did. The life he built was rooted in sacrifice, generosity, and unwavering love-always striving to give his children and his grandchildren the opportunities and security he never had growing up. Anybody who knew Ernani, knew him for his kindness, generosity, and willingness to help anyone in need. He was a devoted husband, father, nonno, brother, brother in law, uncle, and friend. He knew how to make you feel like you were the most important person in the room with him. He had a heart of gold and anybody who knew him felt that. Ernani was the beloved husband of Joanne (Della Rocco) Capone, he was devoted father to Jason Capone, Jessica Capone and her husband John Shipala, Joslyn Collier and her husband Patrick Collier, Jeff Capone and Natalie Klees, and Leida Capone. He was the best Nonno (grandfather) to Ayla Capone, Isabel Collier, Emme Capone, and Colby Collier. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, November 13, 2025 from 4pm to 8pm in the J.S.
