Eva Jane Neumann FRIDMAN

1935 - 2023

FRIDMAN, Eva Jane Neumann, Ph.D. Age 87, of Sudbury, MA, passed away on January 15, 2023, after a brief illness. Eva was born on May 13, 1935 to Anna & Sigmund Neumann in Middletown, CT. Eva received her undergrad degree from Radcliff College Harvard in 1956 and her master's degree from Simmons University in 1958 majoring in social studies/ psychotherapy. Clinical social work has been Eva's passion her entire life seeing many patients over a 60+ year periods and she continued her work dedication all these years until the end on December 1, 2022. The other passion Eva had was studying shamanism in Buryatia/Mongolia. That was her fieldwork for PhD dissertation awarded from Brown University, RI in 1997. Eva would always fondly speak of her multiple travels to Mongolia in late 90's through 2010. She is a proud author of two books released on shamanism studies of south-eastern parts of Russia and Mongolia. Eva was a world traveler, a lover of ancient jewelry, art, weaving and avid reader. Eva is survived by her two sons, Nathaniel and Geoffrey, daughter-in-law Olga and granddaughters Roxanna and Jasmine and Jennifer. A Graveside Service will be held at New Town Cemetery, 357 Concord Rd., Sudbury, on Monday, January 23, 2023, at 1:00 PM.
