In Worcester, Sept. 22 at age 81. Franklin native. Holy Cross College and Tufts Medical School graduate. Navy veteran of the Korean War. Bronze Star recipient. Longtime Worcester surgeon and former Associate Prof. of Surgery at UMass Medical School. Husband of Anne (O'Sullivan) Cataldo. Father of Paul F. Cataldo of Washington, D.C., Dr. Peter Cataldo of Shelburne, VT., Lisa Cataldo of New York City, Michael Cataldo of Hingham, Eileen Cataldo Kneeland of Holden, Dr. Thomas Cataldo of East Greenwich, R.I. and Maria Cataldo of Worcester. Calling hours at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., WORCESTER, Sunday, Sept. 25, 4-7 p.m. Funeral Mass Monday, Sept. 26 at Noon at the Assumption College Chapel, 500 Salisbury St., Worcester. Burial St. John's Cemetery, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, donations to Family Health Center of Worcester, 26 Queen St., Worcester, MA 01610.

I only know Lisa and so, if by the fruits one knows a person, then, I think Dr. Cataldo is a healer of hearts as well as bodies and, so, will continue his call in deeper ways.
