EMILIO, Fern "Pat" Blanche Of Buzzards Bay, MA, age 86, formerly of White Cliffs in Plymouth, MA, passed away peacefully, on the morning of May 13, 2025, surrounded by her devoted husband of sixty-nine years, James Emilio and family members.
Born on November 5, 1938, in Kewanee, Illinois, to William and Mary (McLane) Patten, Pat leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion. In addition to her beloved husband, she will be deeply missed by her three children, Tony Emilio and his wife, Martha, Debbie Johnson and her husband, Carl and Becky Manley and her husband, Bill. Pat is also survived by her seven cherished grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, Emily Emilio Carvill and her husband, Mick Carvill; along with their son, Michael Anthony Carvill; Jennifer Johnson; and her son, Owen Johnson; Cory Johnson and his wife, Li Yang-Johnson; Amy Johnson and her husband, Jon Cox; and their daughter, Chloe Cox; and Lauren, Carrie and Kelley Manley.
Pat spent much of her early years as a dedicated volunteer. She worked at Child and Family Services in Hartford, Connecticut, where she helped struggling families get the support they needed, whether it be food, shelter or financial assistance. In addition, Pat generously offered her time to Alleluia House, a residential facility in Avon, CT, which provides specialized care and support services for individuals with diverse needs. She formed special bonds with those she met there, who cherished her kindness and gentle spirit. Pat had a special gift of compassion, improving the quality of life for all she encountered. This gift was especially displayed in her love for animals and children.
Additionally, as a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Pat served as a board representative, assisting in the election of a new bishop. She also worked with the unhoused while at the Church, helping them find safe places to live. She will be missed by many.
