Hi Dad, Cannot believe it is almost a year since you left us. We all miss you more than we could ever of realized. We all know some day we will lose a parent but the shock and reality is more than any of us could have imagined. The only thing that helps us is remembering your way of never saying anything bad about anyone except in your joking way. Your sense of humor is what keeps us laughing and makes us realize how much of an influence you had on all of us, especially the boy's. They keep realizing how much they think, talk and act a bit like you which catches them by surprize. Rest in peace Papa You are so sadly missed. Love you forever Your Children, Grandchildren and GreatGrandchildren

dear daly's,
definitely your dad was special, he had a word for everybody. i always remember that picture of him in the boston herald, holding a sign (he told us how he was only holding it for your mum, who had stepped away for a minute, when the photographer caught him) also there's the time at the fam picnic when he greeted my dad and said "clarence, try my goulash: made with government pork!"
--love, until we meet again in the palm of God's hand,

Mr. Francis,
Sir, I didn't know you, but I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Navy Construction Battalions in the Pacific during WW II . And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy. The Navy SeaBees did incredible things in WW II-from building airfields to military bases to naval anchorages the SeaBees always got the job done.
