FRANCIS P. DEL GRECO

DEL GRECO, Francis P. Of Winchester, October 25, 2023, at the age of 92. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Elvira J. (DiStefano) of Winchester; his children, Laura M. Del Greco of New York, NY, and Peter and his wife Susan also of Winchester. Cherished grandfather of Danielle Nelson, Katherine Cawley, and Brian Del Greco. Frank received a Bachelor of Science degree from Boston University, a master's from Tufts University, and his PhD from Johns Hopkins University. He spent much of his professional career as a civilian research scientist with the U.S. Air Force located at the Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford, MA. He was a distinguished member of the Sigma Xi Scientific Honor Society and one of his crowning achievements was having the opportunity to monitor an experiment of his, from Mission Control in Houston, that was aboard the Space Shuttle Discovery in 1991.
