FRANCIS LAM Obituary

LAM, Francis Of Natick, known as Frank to most, passed away on June 4, 2024, at the age of 57. He was a beacon of kindness, dedication and generosity to all who knew him. Cherished husband of May Shu, whose unwavering support and love were his constant source of strength. Devoted father of Kyra and Greyson, whom he adored and took immense pride in. Beloved son of Matthew and Rosemary Yee-Lam. Dear brother of Simone Lee. Doting uncle of many nieces and nephews, Jarrett and Sabrina Lee, Adrian and Alexa Wai, Chase and Hunter Huang, Reese, Cole and Sloane Yan. Frank's life was a rich tapestry of love, sports and community. A true fan of all professional sports, his devotion to the New England Patriots was legendary. He immersed himself in the excitement of the drafts and found camaraderie in Fantasy Football leagues. Sundays were sacred, spent watching football and golfing with his closest friends, sharing laughter and the spirit of the game he loved. Frank's true joy lay in making others happy. His generosity knew no bounds, as he selflessly helped family, friends, colleagues and even strangers without expecting anything in return. His kindness was a guiding light, touching the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him. Every Halloween, Frank transformed his home into a magical spectacle, delighting the neighborhood with imaginative decorations. His creativity and dedication turned the holiday into a cherished community tradition. A devoted theater-goer, Frank had a ritual of attending movie premieres on opening night, embracing the thrill and magic of cinema. Frank's commitment to his community shone through his twelve years of coaching Natick soccer. He inspired countless young athletes with his dedication, wisdom and encouragement. At work, Frank was known for his well-stocked snack drawer, a small gesture that brought smiles and comfort to his colleagues, embodying his caring nature. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Natick Soccer Club and the Wellesley Council on Aging, in honor of Frank's dedication to coaching and community service. Frank's life was a testament to the power of giving, the thrill of passion and the love of family. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of kindness and joy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Visiting Hours at the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, NATICK COMMON, on Friday, June 14, from 3-8pm, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember his remarkable journey. When my son´s soccer team needed a coach, Frank volunteered and assisted with him. He was such a kind and generous man who gave his time to local youth. He took the team to a movie and wouldn´t take money. It´s rare to find a man like him and he served as a role model for the younger generation. He will be deeply missed by so many.

I´m am so saddened to hear this news Frank was such a wonderful and giving man. He coached my son some years back and also had pleasure of volunteering with him thru Natick soccer during tournament time. I was always so touched by his generosity with his time and commitment to the kids as well as the sport. My thoughts are with his close friends and family.

We are truly saddened by this news of Frank's passing. He was truly a delightful person to know! Frank's photography was legendary in our household. He took amazing pictures of our girls playing soccer with his beautiful daughter. He generously created books of memories we will keep forever. Our favorite memory was making homemade dumplings with Frank and his family. We had so many good laughs and a delicious meal. Our hearts are with his family. We know he will truly be missed.

Frank coached my son, Quentin Putnam, in Natick Soccer and I remember him as a kind, warm man who kept the team organized through his amazing emails. I know there are no words to ease your pain but I hope you find some comfort in knowing the impact he had and how fondly he is remembered.
