FRANK D. HALLBERG Jr.

HALLBERG, Frank D. Jr. Of Hingham, formerly of Burlington, passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2024. He was 92. Frank was born in Boston to Charlotte C. (Ullock) and Frank D. Hallberg and raised in Dorchester. He attended Boston High School of Commerce and then enlisted in the U.S. Air force. He earned a B.S. in Interior Design at Boston University. Frank worked first at American Mutual, where he met Joan "Joanie" Chace. The two married and settled in Burlington, where they started a family and spent their remaining days together. He retired as VP, General Services at Keystone Investments. Frank was a Burlington Town Meeting Member, Chairman of the Republican Town Committee, a Standing School Building Committee member and a popular fundraiser and chaperone. He was an avid sailor and the Squantum Yacht Club Treasurer. Frank was especially modest, kind and creative. A master of words and wit, he was undoubtedly the funniest guy you've ever met. Beloved husband to the late Joan Hallberg (Chace). Devoted father to Mark and Ayako Hallberg and Susan and Neil Connolly of Hingham. Adoring grandfather to Kai, Ethan, Christine and Kate. Loving brother to the late Shirley Saldutti and cherished son of the late Charlotte (Ullock) and Frank D. Hallberg. Survived by far-flung nieces, nephews and many, many others who lovingly called him uncle Frank. A Celebration of Life will be held in the future.
