I'm so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing, Erika. Although you shared many stories with us, there is so much I didn't know. I'm in awe of the full and varied life he led...a scholar, a musician, a theologian...and on and on. My condolences to your whole family. Much love, Mary Cay Marubio

I wish to express my deepest sympathies and condolences to the family of “Doc” Cunliffe.
I will always remember Doc’s passion for life, infectious enthusiasm, determination, loyalty, intellect, integrity and incredible unselfishness that he demonstrated throughout his long and full life.
I am grateful for knowing a great man who made a positive impact on my life.

The Members of Northeastern University’s, College of Criminal Justice, Class of 1975 send their Deepest Sympathies and Heartfelt Condolences for the loss of Doc Cunliffe.
He was a SUPERSTAR as a college professor.
He constantly challenged his students to not find the answers in the book but to get out and find the answers in the real world. Doc Cunliffe never accepted mediocrity.
Doc taught forensics before it was fashionable through the CSI television programs of late. "They are teaching everyone CRAP" and off the discussion would go....
He introduced his students to the proper use of obscure terms and combinations of phrases which challenged us even more.
After graduation, Doc became a mentor, a confidant and a friend!!! Doc was always anxious to insert an opinion on a current case and discuss the finer points based of the forensic evidence.
His family became our family; he continued our lessons long after Northeastern.
His wonderful home outside of Boston and his refuge in Maine were the site of many a lively discussion.
NOTHING was more important in Doc's life than his beloved wife, Donna and their children. Doc has left you a lifetime of memories.
The world is less bright since Eric's departure for the next phase of life.
I am sure that Doc Cunliffe is knee deep in striking metaphors and "Big" words on the esoteric basis of religion and all that "CRAP!!!"
The line in Heaven is backed up as the Doc makes another important point to St. Peter.
Doc Cunliffe was one of a kind and will be loved and missed by all those who really knew him.....
