Janet and Family,
You have lost "your" Gus and I have lost "my" Gus. The Gus I called when things broke, the Gus I called when my car had a problem.
He bought dog-cheese for Cera, shared tools with Al, drove us to the Beth Israel, never complained when I ate all of his cheese puffs (actually started buying an extra bag to keep in the basement).
We talked about gardens and flowers, he liked that I came and visited Janet at her house so that she stayed home.
He was good to my husband, my children and me--what a good friend he was.
I'll miss him so much.
Very fondly,
Susan

Dear Janet,
I never had the opportunity to meet Gus but still know how much his loss means to you. Be brave, be strong and always remember the love you shared.
