GARY LYTLE Obituary

LYTLE, Gary Of Dedham, passed away peacefully at the age of 70 surrounded by his loving family on May 23, 2022. Adoring and loving husband of 47 years to Ellen (Leahy) Lytle of Dedham. Devoted father to Kenneth Lytle and wife Katie Corcoran Lytle of Whitman and Rachael Christoulis and husband John Christoulis of Norton. Adoring grandfather to Gregory, James, Maeve, and Anna. Also survived by his sisters Carlene Haire of Marstons Mills and Deborah Slattery of Winchester. Gary started his career at Boston Edison in 1972. Although the company underwent many name changes, he stayed and ended his 50 year career at the decommissioning of the Mystic Station power plant in December 2021. The passion for his work was obvious, and those who knew him well considered him as "The Mayor of Mystic 7." New Hampshire and his Lake Winnisquam home were truly his happy place. This is where he mastered his much appreciated BBQ skills with amazing ribs and brisket. Visiting Hours will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., DEDHAM on Thursday, May 26 from 4-7pm. His funeral will be held from the funeral home on Friday, May 27 at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, Dedham at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute at 450 Brookline Ave., Boston, MA 02215. Uncle Gary was the best. He was fun, kind, thoughtful, caring, smart, and on top of that an amazing cook. I´m going to miss him a lot. I love my Uncle Gary. He is in my prayers, as well as Auntie Ellen, Rachael, and Kenny.

My Uncle Gary was the most caring, kindest and thoughtful man you could ever meet. He never missed a birthday, graduation or other big event. He was adored by all who met him. He was an exemplary father, husband, grandfather and uncle. He is in our prayers.
