It took me a while, to write something to remember one of my best friends my entire life Gary Webber. Gary was like my brother. Actually, Gary was my brother. Even when I moved away and left Swampscott and moved to California we stayed close. We would talk almost every day. I´ve been in shock since late October. Losing him has been so difficult. He was so loyal as a friend. He had a heart of gold. He would put himself second when it came to me. There was no one like him. He didn´t take any crap from anyone. But he would go out of his way to do anything for anybody. There will never be another Gary Webber. I miss my brother. I was sad because I couldn´t come in for his funeral. I was having bad headaches and couldn´t fly. When I do come home in the spring or summer, I´m going to pay my respects to him and his dad, Dick, who was incredible to me growing up. I miss them both. I miss Gary. God took him way too soon. I talked to him the morning that he had the attack. We would discuss the Patriot´s game before it happened. He could´ve been a coach for New England. He knew so much about the team and the game. Gary I miss you, my brother I will see you again. I will never be the same again since losing you. I love you, brother. Richard

I´ve known Gary since he was a baby. A couple of images stand out. Gary maybe 7 or 8 swimming in his parents´ pool. He took to the water I thought at the time like a seal, back and forth across the pool effortless. The other image is when he was around 20 and I lived with him and sister Diane while I started a new job near Revere where Gary´s parents had their home. Gary and I would jog Revere Beach Parkway together up to Point of Pines. He was full of fun and fun to be with his whole life.

To Gary´s Lanie and his boys and his family, We loved Gary completely and enjoyed every moment we spent with him. He was always available at a moment´s notice for an adventure; a Sox or Bruins game, a trip to camp, a meal out, or a meal in. We will treasure and be blessed by our memories of him, and live with him on our shoulders, sharing the rest of our days. Rest well, dear friend. Love, Merry and Dana
