GEOFFREY GOODALE Obituary

GOODALE, Geoffrey C. A devoted educator, colleague, and community member, Age 81, died peacefully, surrounded by family, on October 3. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Prudence (Buckley) Goodale; and his three sons, Geoffrey (wife, Julie), Nathaniel and Douglas (wife, Sarah); as well as four grandchildren, Ryan, Alexandra, Eleanor and Blaise; in addition to numerous cousins. A lifelong scholar, Geoff graduated from Thayer Academy in 1962 and Brown University in 1966, and he went on to obtain his Ph.D. in English from Boston University, where he devoted his studies to the works of William Shakespeare. Guided by passion and purpose, Geoff transformed his love of learning into a long and meaningful career in education. Visitation will be at the Dolan Funeral Home, at 460 Granite Avenue, in MILTON, MA, on October 24, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. EDT, followed immediately by a Memorial Service beginning at 10:30 a.m. EDT. Interment will take place at Milton Cemetery.
