My condolences to the Alcott family. There were fewer people in this world that were better than George. He Sacrificed, He Gave but most of all He Cared. The labor movement lost a Leader but the World lost a GREAT person.

My sincerest condolences to the Alcott family on your heartbreaking loss. George´s pride in his family is unmatched. He never failed to mention his beautiful wife Kathy and the accomplishments his children. I am proud to have known such an amazing man. He could command a room with ease and charm anyone who may not have agreed with him. Thank you George for taking care of me and all of our 1301 brothers and sisters. You gave us all a wonderful life. For that, I am so grateful. Rest in Peace, my friend. God Bless.

George, you were a mentor to me, an inspiration and a father figure in the early years of my career and trusted in me to represent you and the union in contractual bargaining and at national conventions. Our time together is a cherished memory between the laughs we had and the struggles during bargaining throughout it all you were the foundation that kept the union and its members going. You will be dearly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing you.
