GEORGE D. HARMER

HARMER, George D. Age 92, of Peabody and formerly of Lynn, died on Saturday, January 9, 2021, at Beverly Hospital, following a brief illness. Devoted husband of the late Marion R. (Howard) Harmer, with whom he shared 63 years of marriage, and son of the late William and Catherine (Amirault) Harmer. Survived by his four children, Kathy Favazza of Peabody, Gregg of Lynn, Laura Miglierina and her late husband Robert of Lynn, and John Harmer and his wife April of Springfield, VT; 6 grandchildren, Stephanie Jacobson and her husband Axel, Christine Favazza, Michael Favazza, Matthew Harmer and his wife Stacy, Christopher Miglierina, and Chelsey Harmer; 5 great-grandchildren, Sophia, Hannah, Zachary, Evan, and Avery; his sister, Ruth Gove of Peabody; his brother, Walter Harmer of Topsfield; his brother-in-law, John Sverker of Lynn, and his many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late William, Robert, Ralph, Gerald, and Kenneth Harmer. Visiting Hours: A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, in Pine Grove Cemetery, 145 Boston St., Lynn, at 11a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and are asked to meet inside the Main Gate of the cemetery at 10:45a.m. Everyone in attendance is required to adhere to the guidelines of the CDC, the State of Massachusetts and the Local Board of Health, and are required to wear a face covering and practice social distancing.
