George Kowalczuk Obituary
Cherished husband of Christine (Gebuhr) Kowalczuk; and devoted father of Peter and Thomas Kowalczuk. George inspired many with his strong moral compass, directness of purpose and the joy with which he lived his life. Born and raised in New Jersey, George enjoyed a long career as an anesthesiologist in and around Boston and the North Shore. He was buoyed by his strong Christian faith, especially following his diagnosis of Inclusion Body Myositis in 2015.
Visiting Hours will be 5-7 p.m., on Friday, April 25, at Lane Funeral Home, in WINCHESTER. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 26, at Hope Christian Church, at 58 Mt. Vernon Street, in Winchester.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in George's memory to two research organizations, Cure IBM and The Peter Frampton Myositis Research Fund at Johns Hopkins.
