Georgina Botelho Obituary

BOTELHO, Georgina (Valerio) Of South Yarmouth, August 24th, at age 94, a former longtime resident of Arlington. Devoted wife of the late John P. Botelho. Loving mother of Irene Ponte, Tina Costa, Connie Kvicala, Emily Forshay Crowley and Joanne Burns. Beloved mother-in-law of Albano Ponte, Manuel Costa, Albert Kvicala, Edward Crowley and William Burns. Cherished sister of Belmira Travers, Olivia Costa, Manuel Valerio and the late Jose Valerio, Maria do Carmo Couto, Emilia Vieira, Irene Oliveira, Gloria da Silva and Ermelinda Reis. Also survived by 13 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends. Funeral from the Rogers Funeral Home, 380 Cambridge St., CAMBRIDGE Friday at 8 am. Funeral Mass at St. Anthony's Church, 400 Cardinal Medeiros Ave., Cambridge, at 9 am. Visiting Hours Thursday 4 to 8 pm. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Arlington Assoc. for Retarded Citizens, c/o Carmen Trischitta, 5 Pond Terrace, Arlington, MA 02474. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington.

Dear Irene and Family

My deepest sympathy on the death of your mother. She was a very nice woman and I remember her very well and also your father. I remember all of you attending the Portuguese church many years ago. My Aunts knew your family and we all knew the entire family when I was growing up in Cambridge. She lived a long life but it is still very hard to lose the ones we love. This death came so soon after Albano's nephew Gus passed away. I was sorry to hear of his death also.

Time will heal all of you but it does take a while. Again my deepest sympathy and I will remember her in my prayers.
