GERARD CRONIN Obituary
Of Arlington, December 16, 2012. Beloved husband of Marge (Donovan). Loving father of Kerrie Brasington of Marlboro, Kelley Cronin of Burlington, Gerard Cronin Jr. of Charlestown, Sean Cronin and his wife Laura of Stoneham, and Robert Cronin of Weenhauken, NJ. Devoted grandfather of Justin, Shanna, Kristie, Stacey, Tommy, Keara, Kaylee, and Kyla. Brother of Donald Cronin of Kennebunk, ME. Gerard was a devoted family man where he enjoyed vacationing in Maine. Retired after 38 years with Stone and Webster. Graduate of Arlington High School where he was captain of the hockey team in 1957, graduate of Northeastern University class of 1961, where he played hockey. Longtime Arlington youth hockey coach and Boston Junior Whalers coach. Funeral from the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St., (Rt. 60, adjacent to St. Agnes Church) ARLINGTON on Wednesday at 9 am. Funeral Mass at Saint Eulalia's Church, Winchester at 10 am. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 pm. Burial in Calvary Cemetery in Winchester. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sandy Hook School Support Fund, c/o Newtown Savings Bank, 39 Main St., Newtown, CT 06470. So sorry to hear of your loss, Gerry was a great man and I had the wonderfull experience of playing for him on the Jr. Whalers back in 1980. It was so nice to see him just a few months earlier at my dads wake. God bless.

Gerard was a great husband, father and friend. His hockey coaching ability was a match to his wonderful playing ability. I thoroughly enjoyed our many years of playing softbakk together. I wish Marge and all his family comfort in knowing you shared a special life together.
