Gordon Bryant Obituary

Of Wayland, died on April 22, 2008, following a brief illness. Beloved husband of Sherry Anne (Shirley) Bryant of Wayland. Devoted father of Gordon W. Bryant, III and his wife Sue of Ridgefield, CT; Jonathan A. Bryant and his wife Lauren of Somerville and Christopher S. Bryant of Wayland. Loving grandfather of Nicholas C.; Connor T. and William J. Bryant, all of Ridgefield, CT. Brother of Cynthia McCue and her husband Homer of North Chatham and Judith Hale of Westport. Visitations will be held on Friday, April 25, 2008 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road, (Off Route 30), WAYLAND. A Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at 2 PM at the Community United Methodist Church, Corner of Main and Damon Sts, (Route 27) Cochituate Village, Wayland. Interment will be private for family. Gordon was the Vice-President of the family owned Lauriat's Bookstore for many years and was associated with Arnold G. Hawkins and the firm of Hawkins-Bryant, specializing in retail gifts. In lieu of flowers, gifts in Gordon's memory may be sent to the BSA, Knox Trail Council, 490 Union Avenue, Framingham, MA 01702 or to BSA in the donor's local area to benefit scouting.
