Harold E. FITZGERALD

FITZGERALD, Harold E. "Fitzi" Of Randolph, formerly of Mission Hill, passed away peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, on June 3, 2023, at the age of 89. Born and raised in Boston, Harold graduated from Mission High School. He began work in the civil engineering field and worked his way up to Vice President of the company and enjoyed a successful career as a consulting engineer. An active member of his community, Harold was a former Town Meeting Member and on the Randolph Finance Committee. An avid sports fan, you could often find him cheering on one of his favorite Boston sports teams. A devoted husband, father, brother, uncle and friend, Harold will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known him. Harold was the husband of the late Linda A. (Sferes) Fitzgerald. Loving father of Patricia Nelson and her husband, John of Winthrop, Steven Fitzgerald and his wife, Dale of Hull and Flagler, FL and Lana Fitzgerald of Randolph. Devoted brother of Donna Kelly and her husband, Paul of ME, Joan Hathaway and her late husband, Steve of NH and the late Marilyn Williams and her husband, Brian of NH. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and his loving companion, his beagle, "Lady". Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Visitation period on Saturday morning, June 10, from 8:00 – 9:30 AM, in the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 North Main St. (RT. 28), RANDOLPH. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 AM, in St. Mary Church, 211 North Main St., Randolph. Burial in Central Cemetery, Randolph.
