Wonderful teacher and gentleman. Always kept math fun. Thank you Mr J, without you I may not have become the engineer I am today nor would I have had the fun attitude toward math that encouraged my own children to excel in their careers (engineers and doctors). May your personality live on in all of us. "Cart it away!"

I writing this message from Sendai, Japan, where I am attending a UN conference on disasters which is my special area of research. I was curious what Harry was doing these days and I am sorry to see he passed away. My sincere condolences to the family. Harry was a wonderful teacher. He made all of us feel welcome: athlete, nerd or geek. It didn't matter. I remember so much from the math classes I took from him at Lynnfield High. "Time will pass, but will you?". "All sin is tangent to the cosine". Etc. I took algebra, trig and calculus I from him. His classes made a major contribution to my career and where I am today, as a professor of physics at the university of California.

I was in Mr Jameson's geometry & algebra 2 class at the same time during the first semester of my sophmore year at LHS in 1967.Great teacher ..great human being. Inspired me to work with math students in the 1990's and help my own son to go on to the US Math Club Regional Finals in VA in 2002.I will never forget him and know his "presence" will long endure.

I have just learned of the passing of Mr. Harris P. Jameson and was extremely saddened. Harris truly personified the definition of a 'gentleman' and his spirit of gregariousness was unsurpassed. I will miss him at the Greek Cathedral coffee hours after church services and his ever-present bow tie. I loved his book "For Sully's Sake" which he signed for me. May God rest his soul and may his memory be eternal.

Harris and I go way back to the 1940's and 50's with our involvement at the Greek Cathedral in Boston. We would meet every Sunday for Mass. The church had a basketball team and we played our games each week at the YMCA on Huntington Ave. We were never very good but it gave us a chance to be together and enjoy team spirit. The church also sponsored a baseball team that played in the Boston Park League and we won the championship. He could hit the ball a mile and also was a really good pitcher. Over these many years he was our historian and I frequently wood receive letters bringing me and others up to date on local happenings, etc. Rest in peace my good friend.

Harry was my neighbor for 17 years until he moved to take care of his brother and wife. He was one of the nicest people I've ever met, not only did he write me a letter of reference when I was trying to become a teacher, but he also wrote one for my son when he was trying to get into college. My kids never enjoyed shoveling someone else's driveway more. Rest in peace Harry

I had Mr. Jameson as a teacher in 1967. He was by far the best teacher I ever had, although there were many great teachers at LHS at that time. He was most inspirational to me as I became a high school math teacher myself for over forty years. I told my students many of the same stories Harry told us. I will remember him always. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Jameson family and their friends.

I was a "75 grad of Lynnfield High School. Mr. Jameson was the best math teacher I ever had. I used what he taught me to teach my kids things like Joe P. or the pythagorean theorem. Amazingly, what he taught is still remembered by me at age 56! What a wonderful man. He will be missed by many.

I was a member of the Lynnfield High School football team class of 1966. Harry (who we knew as Coach Jameson) was the person we would all look up to on the team to provide a cool head and thoughtful guidance when all around confusion reigned supreme. He had a wonderful personality and I never really appreciated until later in life that he was teaching us that there were bigger issues at play in our development as people then the points on the scoreboard

As a math teacher at LMS I will never forget Mr. Jamison at the department meetings. He kept them alive and always had a positive attitude to all his on goings in life. His sense of humor was always evident after a tedious day in the classroom. Rest in Peace knowing that you had a great impact on many lives.

Both my brother and I had Mr. Jameson(1967 and 1973)and are not surprised at all the accolades. We were all his "kids" and he gave you confidence and did not play favorites but made everyone feel special. You were special Mr. J and will be missed and remembered fondly.

It's been decades since I was in high school, but I remember Mr. J as though it were yesterday. I was terrible in math, but Mr. J somehow managed to get through to me. I remember him fondly as one of the best teachers I had at LHS. He had a great sense of humor too. Thank you Mr. J.

To all of Harrison's family, so sorry to hear of his passing. We are neighbors in Jamaica Plain, and are shocked and sadden that he is no longer here. It was nice that Harrison was at the house after Connie passed away. They were both friendly and generous always
so kind. Great men. Our sincerest sympathy. He will be missed.

My most memorable teacher, baseball and football coach, and I always felt he was trusted friend. I saw Mr. Jameson years after graduation. I had been teaching my Geometry class in Ecuador. Without a teacher's manual, and the same text book we used in H.S., I couldn't do a proof for the next days lesson., that night I dreamt that Mr. J was at the blackboard, explaining the proof to me! When I woke up I went to my book and finished the proof just as he had explained it in my dream ! I told him about it years later, for me he was a lifelong teacher who I will always admire.,

I fondly remember Mr. Jameson as a caring and wise teacher. In particular I recall how he offered me ( a person with a heart ailment) an alternative to gym class by doing isometric exercise. I did not sense that same concern from the then Phys Ed teacher. Mr. Jameson was to use a term a real mensch.
