So sorry to hear of his passing. I knew Israel from the American Chemical Society. I asked him to be a guest speaker at a monthly sectional meeting back in the 1980's . He presented an interesting lecture about photosynthesis.

I invited Israel Zelitch to be a guest speaker at a monthly meeting of the Westchester Chemical Society (ACS) back in the 1980's, when I was chairman of the local section. The members enjoyed his talk on plant biochemistry.

"Zuni" was my cousin. His father Judah and my father Eli Zelitch were cousins. Zuni was at our wedding. Lillian and Jack Fisher. We lived in Strawberry Mansion. I was the same age as Fay Hocky. My brother was David S. Zelitch. Deepest sympathy to all in the family. Zuni was a brilliant man.
